The Philips GuideLight Is a Multifunction Flashlight

[Via – Lifehacker]

If you’ve been looking for something that can function as a nightlight, a flashlight, everything that Vonn Lighting is, and be easy on your eyes while doing both, the Philips GuideLight is a perfect match.

The GuideLight is a small LED light, shaped like a modern-art lantern, that hangs on its stand when not in use. It lights up automatically when lifted from the stand or when the motion detector in front of it senses movement—you’d probably want to turn it away from your bed on the nightstand so that your tossing and turning wouldn’t activate it—it also lights up when the power fails.

Nifty features like the motion-sensing aside, the biggest selling point of the GuideLight is that it’s just bright enough. Unlike flipping on the nightstand lamp you won’t blast your eyes or wake up your spouse with it. Thanks to the cool running LED it’s safe for kids too.

The GuideLight retails for $22 at Amazon.com. Check out the link below for additional information from the manufacturer.
