University of Fraud?

I don’t need to write much – just watch this ABC news undercover video and see confirmation of whatever I have been saying for a couple of years. These guys at Universities of Fraud are worse than vultures. Look at the bold-faced lies by the senior official at the university. [This comes to you via Huffington Post]

Following the recent revelation that for-profit college recruiters often use deceptive tactics when reaching out to potential students, ABC News decided to go undercover and see if that was still the case at the University of Phoenix.

Short answer: Yes.

A University of Phoenix recruiter guaranteed an undercover producer that, after completing a bachelor’s of science of education program at the school, he would be able to find a job as a teacher in New York or Texas. Additional research by ABC proved otherwise.

University of Phoenix President William Pepicello responded to the sting: “Can we do better? Absolutely.”

  1. Mohan garu,
I have another point of view as I have a good friend doing Phd there. His version is totally different than what has been portrayed. I can have him talk about it.

  2. Reading this article kind of scary regarding the value of degree in few universities or colleges.

    • I don’t know anything about International University of VA. Since I am from VA and I work for a educational institution, that is not a good sign.

Why don’t you want to take TOEFL – it is one of the easiest exams. If you are here for a year, TOEFL is much easier. Go for a degree in university people have heard of and respect. Of course, people have heard of U of P also, but what is lacking is the respect for their degree.

  3. My wife and I are biggest victims of this university. Some how they got our phone numbers and they call us 100 times a day asking us to enroll into their courses. Finally after registering with DNC for more than 10 times, these calls stopped.

  4. This is insane!
