Palin’s Cross-Hairs Map: How Appropriate is it?

Palin even signed this cross-haired ‘manifesto.’ Free speech alright, but is it responsible?

Other vitriolic statements made by some of the “leaders” recently:

  • “American people need to be ARMED and DANGEROUS” – Republican Congresswoman Michelle Bachman
  • “Take them out, either by the ballot or BULLET” – Tea Party
  • “Don’t retreat, RELOAD”- Sarah Palin
  • “I hope that’s not where we’re going, but you know if this Congress keeps going the way it is, people are really looking toward those Second Amendment remedies and saying my goodness what can we do to turn this country around?”- Sharron Angle

“Don’t kill him by pelting stones” – Muhammad bin Tughluq

Update (via Huffington Post).

“The hard left is going to try and silence the Tea Party movement by blaming us for this,” Tea Party Nation founder Judson Phillips wrote. “The left is coming and will hit us hard on this. We need to push back harder with the simple truth. The shooter was a liberal lunatic. Emphasis on both words.”

This reminds me of another life’s lesson. Call an insane person ‘insane.’ He will shout back, “you are insane, your mother is insane, your dad is insane.” Also, this is not a left vs. right. It is right vs. wrong. The “Right” label doesn’t make them right. Nor does the “Left” label make them evil.

BTW, the accused shooter is  a registered member of the Republican Party.

  1. yes, the rhetoric has it’s implications, but when a guy as mad as this guy can purchase a semi-automatic gun with a flick of a finger, who can stop these incidents? now to help the gun sales even more, some ‘law’ makers are proposing they will carry their own guns it seems? why should we have police, just let everyone carry a bazooka! damn it!!
