Sri Gummadi Venkateswara Rao: 1927-2010

“మన నాన్న” గా మనందరికీ ఆత్మీయుడు అయిన శ్రీ గుమ్మడి వెంకటేశ్వర రావు గారు మనకిక లేరు.

Sri Gummadi Venkateswara Rao is no more. Many of us remember him as an endearing father figure. I met Sri Gummadi garu in person and hosted him at TANA 2007. Not only that, I had the honor of being a part of the team which facilitated him with a “Life Time Achievement” Award. The biggest highlight for me at that event was to give a one-minute intro to cue a video tribute, which resulted in a standing ovation for this gentleman from the 12000+ in attendance. I will never forget that moment.

May his soul rest in peace.

The following is a video from the TANA 2007 event. [As a shameless plug for myself, I am also in the video: 3:51-4:04, standing second to his left.]

How do you remember him?
